What inspires you?
Learning the stories of other people inspires me to develop a life that can hopefully inspire another!
What are your athletic goals for this season?
2018 Commonwealth Games medal! As well as climb back to top 15 in World ranking
What is the most significant challenge you face in achieving your goal?
I moved back home to help family, away from my training camp in Phoenix, AZ. The largest challenge is training alone and having to force myself to finish everything. Also, as I age in this sport, making sure my body is healthy is a large challenge.
What is a technical aspect of your sport you are focusing on or have previously improved?
Mechanics are every thing in this sport, so a millisecond of error can be the difference between a medal and sitting at home.
Having so much experience in the sport, a layperson might think mechanics would come naturally over time...what specific tactics or drills have you incorporated to help you further improve and shave off those milliseconds?
I implement mechanics into everything I do, meaning the moment I start my warm up lap for the day, my focus is on every detail of the run. I use warm up drills as a time to ingrain specific movement patterns that are critical in shaving milliseconds off records. And even when the workout is done, the focus does not end. When walking around airports to visualizing races, my focus is on making sure my movement is fluid and correct.

What is your approach to Recovery?
When it comes to recovery, consistency is critical. The small things make the largest difference, so the work done at home will be vital in success.
What might you say to inspire other athletes?
Focusing on the small details is what paints the greatest picture.
A Noble note about Jeremy
Jeremy strongly supports the Pediatric Hydrocephalus Foundation, a condition he also struggles with, which causes a brain tumor. Jeremy underwent chemotherapy/radiation while still competing and qualifying for the World Championships and Olympics. Jeremy credits running with saving his life while living with this hydrocephalus
