Elijah Davis has been inspired to strive as a sprinter since middle school
What's your specific athletic goal for this year?
y track and field indoor goal is to run under 22 seconds in the 200m and my outdoor goal is to run 10.5-10.4 in the 100m.
What is the most significant challenge you are facing in reaching your goal?
Ignoring distractions and staying consistent. Usually distractions are in my head. I would think about what’s going to happen in the future or what already happened in the past. I’m working on just trying to live in the moment and worry about today. Those distractions would effect my consistency in training and in school. It would make me train lazier and it would make me lose a little focus In school.
What is a technical aspect of your sport you are focusing on or have previously improved?
Track and field is a very technical sport. I have been working on staying low for as long as possible in my drive phase and keeping my arm cadence quick
